All are invited to join the Heart of Carolina A Cappella for Guest Night on Thursday, August 31, at 7:00 pm. This free event will be an evening of music, food, and fun in Durham, at the Auditorium at Croasdaile Village Retirement Community on 2600 Croasdaile Farm Pkwy.

HCA’s chorus and quartets will entertain you with a performance of tight harmonies and their broad repertoire—and then you’ll get a chance to sing with them.

Heart of Carolina A Cappella is rapidly becoming the premier a cappella project in North Carolina, and they want you to sing with them. This award-winning chorus, under the direction of Dr. Bill Adams, is expanding its programs to include a cappella music of all genres while maintaining its role as a powerhouse barbershop chorus.

Now, they’re excited to announce the launch of a new mixed a cappella project—this means ladies, too! Barbershop, vocal jazz, contemporary, and classical a cappella.

How Do I Join if I Love What I Hear?

The process for joining HCA is simple. During Guest Night, you’ll have the opportunity to sing with the chorus on simple vocal exercises that will help them evaluate your range, tone quality, accuracy, and pitch memory.  Then they’ll teach you a few tags which you can sing with the Chorus, in a quartet or a small ensemble. Our director and music team will be on hand to help you out and listen to how your voice fits in with the HCA sound.
