The Duke Chorale returns to campus following its Spring 2017 concert tour for a free performance on Tuesday, March 21 at 8:00 pm in Baldwin Auditorium on Duke’s Campus. Admission is free. Dr. Rodney Wynkoop will direct.
The Duke Chorale tours Costa Rica March 12-19. When they return, they’ll share works from their tour repertoire, including a diverse selection from composers such as J.S. Bach and William Byrd to contemporary works by Eric Whitacre and others, including Central American folk songs and African American spirituals.
The Duke University Chorale, conducted by Rodney Wynkoop and accompanied by Mary Hamilton, is the principal choral group of the Department of Music at Duke. Composed mainly of undergraduate students, the 50-voice Chorale and its 20-voice Chamber Choir perform numerous concerts throughout the year, both on and off campus.
