While invitation-only or professional smaller ensembles are not listed in this directory, their events may be found on our events calendar, audition calendar, or blog.

St. Paul’s Choir

Chorus Description:

St. Paul's Choir is a volunteer choir that sings for 11:15 am worship on Sundays, and for all l holy days and other special events at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Cary. Grounded in the Anglican traditional of music, the repertoire is varied and covers hundreds of years of excellent sacred choral music from the English Tudor period to present day. The choir performs an annual Lessons and Carols Service and has recorded a CD of Advent and Christmas music, "A Babe is Born." All singers with a solid musical background are welcome to join.

Chorus Description:

SONAM (Singers Of New and Ancient Music) is a chorus of around 20 singers committed to creating high-quality sacred and secular music and giving back to the community. Our mission is to make excellent choral music that supports local non-profits through 3-4 benefit concerts each year. As a volunteer organization, we're sustained entirely by donations of time and resources. We hold selective auditions for 1-2 slots each year.

Six Week Sing

Chorus Description:

Six Week Sing is a a low commitment, high quality choir experience for the Triangle community. We meet once a week for six weeks with a concert on Thursday of the sixth week. Sisters’ Voices is a choral community of girls (grades 2-8 in two ensembles), where each is known and supported while being challenged to grow as a musician and as a person. Sisters’ Voices intends to open singers to a wide variety of musical styles, encourage development of musicianship, and provide a cooperative atmosphere where girls develop a sense of confidence and competence while creating close friendships and having fun together.

Chorus Description:

Senior Class is a mixed group of seniors who just can’t get enough of their generation’s sounds from the 50s and 60s. They present a Rock ‘n’ Roll package embellished by some of the crooner tunes of the era, wearing traditional poodle skirts, saddle oxfords, pedal pushers, rolled up jeans and white bobbie socks. The group has been stroll audiences down memory lane in the Triad area since 2008, accompanied by a piano, drums and electric guitar.

Schola Cantorum provides musical leadership for the Sunday 11:15 AM masses at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, singing a diverse repertoire ranging from traditional hymns to modern songs.

Chorus Description:

Sassy Southern Sound is a prospective Sweet Adeline ladies barbershop group. It is in it's second year and currently has about 13 members and growing. Ladies of all ages are welcome to come join in song! You do not have to have a musical background to be a part of this group. Please, come a few minutes early if it is your first rehearsal so the director can hear your voice and place you in the correct section of the chorus. Sassy Southern Sound performs anywhere from 6 to 10 times a year. Our venues usually included retirement homes, churches, festivals, and other areas within the community. Saint Francis Choir

Chorus Description:

The Saint Francis Choir of Saint Francis United Methodist Church sings a variety of sacred music and plays an integral role in worship. This group sings regularly in the 8:30 or 11:00 Sunday worship. They also do outreach performances in the community and perform public concerts. This ensemble is non-auditioned and open to all.
